Profile

I’m a recent Graphic Design & Illustration graduate from Loughborough University with a strong interest in animation and motion graphics. My background in Fine Art grounds my work in solid design principles, while my passion lies in creating distinctive, original visuals. I recently worked on a live website redesign at Crumpled Dog, where I gained experience presenting to clients, collaborating with developers, and using Figma in a professional workflow. I’m a quick, dedicated learner with a personable approach and a collaborative mindset. Alongside my studies, I’ve held customer-facing roles that strengthened my communication, teamwork, and time-management skills. I’m now excited to apply both my creative and interpersonal skills in a professional design environment.

Creative Work

Crumpled Dog
2023- Redesigned a client website as part of a live project, incorporating client needs and user experience principles into a responsive layout.
- Integrated Figma into my workflow and presented design progress in daily stand-ups, receiving and applying constructive feedback from the team.
- Delivered a final presentation to the CEO, gaining valuable insight into professional communication, design critique, and developer collaboration, including understanding technical limitations.

SPNHC
2023- Commissioned to re-design a banner for the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections to be used at trade fairs around the world.
- The banner needed to display a lot of information while keeping consistent with the societies established visual style.
- This project gave me experience interpreting client feedback and presenting my design effectively to the client.

Art Pop Up Uk
2019- A non-profit organisation which uses creative discovery and participation to improve loneliness and mental health in the community.
- Involved in directing and installing the art in Stamford Art Centre.
- Working along side other established artists helped me to develop how I might clearly and confidently communicate my ideas in a group.

Work

Barista Scandimania Coffeehouse November 2024 - Present- I worked in a small but very busy coffee shop in a team of 2 often working 8 hour shifts.
- On weekends I often served 400 customers which has given me the ability to be friendly and customer focussed as well as being able to organise the orders and communicate with my colleague.

Watersports InstructorNeilson Holidays Aboard
April-September 2024, June-November 2022/2023- I worked as a watersports instructor in Croatia and Greece were I was responsible for the safety and entertainment of hundreds of guests over the 3-6 months of work.
- When instructing I was directly responsible for 10-20 people I was teaching on the water. The guests ranged from young children to older adults with a range of abilities.
- This required exceptional planning of the on water lesson everyday and communication skills between the clients and the 20-person Neilson team.

Bar/Restaurant Worker
Luffenham Heath Golf Club
June-November 2021- Working behind the bar at the golf club I became familiar with how service and keeping orders organised. The bar often became busy during golf events of 40+ people.
- I would see many regulars and had to build rapport with them quickly and
remembering names and their specific orders.
